Okay, Eric. LOL! I am VERY biased against them. I have become quite vitriolic about them

I had to look this word up: vitriolic-of a substance, especially a strong acid; capable of destroying or eating away by chemical action-- are you spitting acid again?

I found out some information on Paranormal State this week and now I must say I'm not impressed with them or the show.
I only watch for the amusement factor. I find myself shaking my head at what they do sometimes. Like the time they were messing with the tree stump after the person said to wait for his Elder.

I have mixed feelings about the show now. I thought the last episode at the college with the one dorm stunk.

I finally sat through a whole episode.....all I can say it that its TV. How do you immediately assume demonic possession above all else? Why would you bring that up to the client right off? Lets scare the hell out these people that asked us for help? ( Pardon the pun!)
I just don't understand why they would spout out theories that are completely unfounded right there in front of the homeowners? How many times have we had something happen in from front of us that we thought may be something ans it turns out to be....a dog, a cat....a neighbor....the heat...a group member....
I know its TV, but its like the CSI shows...people think a murder case can be cleared up in 60 minutes with definitive proof...people are going to think all they need to do is call in an investigation group and by the end of the night they will have all the answers....and when you can't give them...you look bad..
I'll get off my soap box...can someone give me a hand down?

No I can't help you down from the soap box when it comes to Paranormal State but I can give you company up there. I've been saying it all along. Thanks for the validation Robin! Day

I have to say that I do enjoy the show for what it is, a show...do I agree with some of their ways, No. But I do enjoy watching it...

when you look at the different groups out htere-- you have TAPS who claims to be scientific, then you look at PRS and they tend to be faith based, it is no wonder we have a hard time with credibilty.

I just watched an episode and must admit I was a little dissapointed. It seemed very scripted to me. I'd like to see more evidence and less of the main kid talking.

Well if you look at their website you see that they are very faith based and they are there for helping people.... it just seems odd that after they have been there most cases the activity stops... but I do enjoy watching it and most paranormal shows out there to get any ideas that might be helpful in our cases here..

I watched almost all the episodes and have to agree with Robin and Day on this. I really think it has a very phony feel to it. I enjoy ghosthunters much better.

I'm glad to see my opinion of paranormal state is shared by the group. When I first heard about it I was excited being a Penn State alumn I thought we'd get Ghost Hunters: State College. My personal preference is more towards the scientific/TAPS style of investigation.

I only watch for my amusement. I find myself shaking my head and going "oh no Ryan" a lot. I prefer Ghost Hunters as well and it's on tonight. yay.

O that's right! Woo hoo! I like the international ones they've been showing they go to some cool places but I can't wait for some new Jay and Grant. Glad they've been picked up for season 5.

I won't even say what I thought about this episode...don't get me started. lol
The only reason I watched it was being they were raising energy (Michelle & Elfie) for the spirits to manifest. That seems like a neat idea. I do energy work when I meditate. I get balls of energy in my hand and play around with it.

The one thing about PRS is they are backed in some small way by PSU. this gives them credibitly that most other groups do not have.
