Has anyone been in the old jail in Jim Thorpe? Ghost activity reported and I can say without a doubt that something is happening there. The feeling is strong. The history is good for ghosts to be around. www.visitjimthorpe.com/new/history.htm#handprint

Here's a local one for ya..
I was just told of an area that - although the perfect "parking" area for High Schoolers - no one will go there after dark as its reported highly haunted - with I guess some of the more "agressive" Native American spirits... (not being from the area, I don't know the validity of this area) - but the story I was told was back in the day - several Native American's were hung upside down over the river - the river dam'd - and they were left there to drown.
I am trying to get more info - but the best I can describe this area is what was described to me as the "old" Rt. 115.

I'd be interested in going to Thorp.. been through town once, but everything pretty much was closed - but must say, it was an "interesting" little town.. The only weekend I have something going (thus far) is the weekend of November 11th.. and of course my Tudor day which is the 18th - and I believe, as long as we allow monica to give 3 weeks notice.. she can request time off. (also had to post something as I seem to be stuck on 32 posts)

Jim Thorpe is a great place. The jail can be visited, they have tours and they even show off the legendary "handprint". I've been to Jim Thorpe a million times but never took the tour although I've known alot of people who have. I was just there briefly on Saturday and the only problem I've seen there as of late is parking; go there on a weekend and the place gets very crowded.
