What is a good slide show software? I want to be able to add music and perhaps text to it. It will be ok if I can't add text, but I definitely want music. Powerpoint is taking too long. LOL I want something faster.

You could probably whip something up in Flash, if you know how to do Flash design and have the program. But you're probably better off with PowerPoint.

both are free and fairly easy to do. I did a 5 minute 60 pict photostory thing in about an hour, that included the voice over.
Let me know if you need help

I like Photostory but I can only use 300 photos and I have over 1,000. lol So, I decided I'll just do a powerpoint for now. I'll eventually make a photo book out of it so I guess Power Point is the best way to go for that because I can just upload my power point for the book pages.

Geezus... Michelle, you're going to force someone to sit down and watch 1000 slides of your trip? I had relatives like you back in Michigan.

lol Yes, I will. Well, my family I will. I love taking pictures, can you tell? LOL Maybe I should just make multiple photostories. I'm still only on the first day of my trip and have 50 some slides.
Edited to add: I took a lot of photos but some I took of the same exact thing, right after the other. Guess that's the paranormal investigator in me. haha

Michelle,
I agree with Thomas, a 1000 photos is a whole lot of time to invest!
I also agree with Rick that Photo Story 3 is free, easy and has very good results.
I think your idea about several photostories is the way to go, maybe even theme them. They would then be smaller (number of pictures and file size) and you wouldn't have to remember where you left off watching a large presentation.
Just my 2 cents.
Tom.

Thanks. I know I took over 1,000 pictures, but like I said before....most likely all won't be used. lol For example, for some I took the picture of the same thing 4 times. lol On the slide show I would only include one. Hey, I like to bore people to death!! LOL Just kidding. I was going to break it up by country...so I would have 4 slide shows.
