the house we presently live in has no history that we know of of anything paranormal or deaths or what not. But with the birth of my son we've been having some odd things happen around the house. My son very often will suddenly look up above him and start to smile and laugh and sometimes reach out, even though nothing is there. The two wierdest things were the swing swaying back and fourth on its own with out being turned on, this happend twice, once with the music and mobile playing as well. The other, is everyonce in a while I will here faint voices on the intercom. Once I went in there when I heard them and he was smiling and giggling away at someone above him. I don't feel at all that it is a bad thing, if anything I think it may be either one of my wifes grandparents or mine that have crossed over. I want to get a recorder and put it in the nursery to see I we can get any evps.

It is said [or believed] - that babies like animals are more able to see and hear the 'paranormal' primarly because they have never been told - "they can't" - therefore they tend to be in touch with those energies on the etheral level. It sounds like your son has a guardian - a relative that has crossed - or (for a lack of a better term) an angle watching over him. I wouldn't be surprised at all - if the day the music was playing, he was a bit restless <G>.
If it helps any.. what I am seeing as I write this is a woman with beautiful curly/wavy hair - wearing a longer length chain which is long enough that it hangs under the lapels of her dress (probably a bad visual, but I can't explain it any better) and there's something wrong with her right hand / arm... kind of like what you'd see with someone who had a stroke or polio - and I'm not sure 'why' that came to mind as I was writing...

I can't help but wonder if maybe there is a different arrangement of rods vs. cones in a baby's eye. It could be theorized that as a child grows up, the direct center of the eye takes more damage from light sources (specifically, the boob-tube) that could be attributed with the difference through maturity.
Good luck catching something on camera. If you do, be sure to let us see it, Ted.

I definately will, last night was kinda funny, he was in his play pen laying on his back and was quiet as can be. My wife and I were on the couch about 10 feet away from him watching tv. All of a sudden he just stated to laugh and giggle histerically and had his arms reaching and waving about. Like I said, whoever it is I welcome them, cause they make him very happy. As far as him being restless when the music started playing I can't quite remember what his mood was. He tends to be a an extremly happy baby, I sometimes wonder if its us being good parents, or if we suck so bad his guardian angel is cheering him up! lol By the way Imp, count me in on the investigation in Pleasent Mount, I already talked it over with my boss, and wife(other boss).

I've had the ability to see these things all my life and so do my sons (I encourage it). I agree that as long as you encourage it and it is obviously not hurting him, then so be it. The odds are very good (in my experience with babies) that it is a relative, someone within the family sphere guarding the baby. If that is the case then your baby is truly blessed and you couldn't ask for a better playmate.

I am recently finding some strange activity in my daughters room. All of a sudden, my 4 month old baby monitor is acting up. She has a Fisher Price light show monitor, that projects images on the ceiling when activated. Well several nights have passed where the darm thing activates itself intermittently. I am not afraid, I am just wondering maybe she has a visitor. Her uncle on her dads side had passed a few years back very young in a tragic car accident. I am wondering if maybe he is checking in on her. I live in a very old brick house. I know there is history in my building. I also have a doorbell that is NOT battery operated, its plugged in to an outlet directly will also go off intermittently. Sometimes the darn thing rings 3am 4am and 10am. I cant put my finger on why. I actually open the doors and I see no one there. I know someone isn't playing a prank, cause I have 2 very large German Shepherds on my back door step and every one is afraid to even come near the driveway. I know the dogs couldn't have jumped up and bumped it cause their leads only come to the top step. If anyone has any information or can shed some light, please let me know. My fiance and I both belong to SPRI so we are familiar with trying to disprove our experiences.

Hi Jennifer, It could be picking up someone elses radios. since the monitor runs on the same channels of older cordless phones, and walkie talkies, and could pick up a cell phone or a garage door opener or even some one else's baby monitor. It could also be going off due to power issues.
Things to try: plug it in to a good power strip or even an UPS. aslo try to plug in to a different outlet. keep us informed.

Couple of years ago i went to go visit my buddy that had a new born and had those baby monitors. Every so often we heard the Local McD's "Welcome to mcDonalds etcetc" It was pretty funny but my buddy was tired of it.
